Hello Everyone
i want us to share micro news popping up in Nigeria, so this thread is open to everyone. i will be kick of with some micro News, but please if you have to post a micro News on this thread, please make it brief as possible. thanks

- The dreaded Boko Haram struck once again in Maiduguri, yesterday, killing eight people at a ,mancet and other areas in the Borno State capital.

- Presidency decries furore over church in Jonathan’s town.
- EFCC links failed trial of corrupt leaders to judges
- Woman bomber kills Somali sports chiefs at theatre: A young woman strapped with explosives blew herself up yesterday at a ceremony in the Somali national theatre, killing the country’s olympic and football bosses.
- TWO suspected Boko Haram gunmen yesterday in Maiduguri, Borno State capital, shot and killed a spare-parts dealer in the Ruwan Zafi ward of the metropolis.

Bomb Blast At Thisday Office, Jabi, Abuja: ThisDay nespaper offices in Abuja has come under attack, a source told Saharareporters that the office was bombed a few minutes ago. The attack happened in Jabi/Utako area directly opposite the Jabi Motor park. Eyewitnesses said a huge explosion shook neighboring building.

House in stormy session over Diezani, Dankwambo: It was a bit stormy yesterday at the House of Representatives.
The recommendation of the Ad Hoc Committee on Fuel Subsidy Regime “that the payment of N999 million 128 times within 24 hours (12 and 13 January, 2009) by the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation be further investigated by the relevant anti-corruption agencies” was amended to exonerate the former Accountant-General, Ibrahim Dankwambo. Dankwambo is governor of Gombe State.

Five killed in Plateau: Five people were killed yesterday when gunmen, believed to be Fulani herdsmen struck in Gwarim Village, Rim District of Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State.

Police seize rocket launchers, grenades from ‘bank robbers’: Two rocket launchers, a grenade and a General Multipurpose Machine Gun (GMP) were among the arms recovered from a robbery gang specialising in bank raids by operatives of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS), Adeniji-Adele, Lagos.

Police uncovers explosives worth N9m as blast causes panic in Kano: A bomb blast outside a military base on Wednesday in the  city of Kano caused panic but no injuries, while police earlier in the day discovered a large cache of explosive materials.
The homemade bomb planted in an open sewer across from Bukavu military barracks caused people to flee and businesses to shut, a military spokesman said.
Kano has been on edge since coordinated bombings and shootings in January claimed by Islamist group Boko Haram which killed 185 people, the group’s deadliest attack yet.

Gunmen raid Gombe police stations, bank:  Attackers have carried out assaults on two police stations and a bank in a northern town, but it was unclear if there were casualties, residents and authorities said Thursday.
The attackers raided the northeastern town of Bajoga in Gombe state, using guns and bombs, beginning late Wednesday and into early Thursday. Residents reported a badly damaged regional police station, but details were sketchy.
“There were bombings and gun attacks on the area command and divisional police station in Bajoga town by some gunmen,” police spokesman Ahmed Mohammed said.

I beleived with the statement made by governor sanusi lamido sanusi of central bank of Nigeria on trying to normalise the current scurge of the countrys economy,why i do beleive him is because the financial officials of  fed. govt are to some extent selfesh AND bias in solving that problem. Hence....
