You will have to understand how smf forum themes are built, i actually modified my theme. So you will have to modify your theme.

You need a little html code and CSS style to get it done.

Ok not to worry, i will give you my own code.
- What you need to do is to copy this code and then copy your links and place in the body. But dont forget to change the color to what you like.
- Insert this code to a html block on your simple portal.
Code: [Select]
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<style>

#rcorners2 {
    border-radius: 25px;
    border: 2px solid     #C70039;
    padding: 10px;
    width: Auto;
    height: 30%;
}
</style>
</head>
<body>
<p id="rcorners2"><a href="YOUR WEBSITE BOARD URL"><b>Introduction</b></a>
</p>
<p id="rcorners2"><a href="YOUR WEBSITE BOARD URL"><b>Introduction</b></a>
</p>
</body>
</html>
NOTE:-
Place you links between the <p id="rcorners2"></p>
To change the color of the boarder, simple play around with (border: 2px solid  #C70039;)

Let me know if you got it right.
