Nairaland.com has been down for 7 hours 3 min.
One of my favorite Nigeria website has been down today for the past 7 hours, at first i thought it will only be for a while but i have waited this long for it to be back but it still down.

share your experience on not being on Nairaland for this long, do you feel you are missing out?

Yea, i noticed it this morning, cant believe it is still down. May be it is been prepared for an upgrade or the server is generally down.

Its more than 2 days now and its still down. And according to Seun Osewa, the owner of Nairaland who is yet
to explain what really happened and  has not answered messages directed at him on any the social media pages. Apart from few words from him saying ‘the site may not be up soon’
He posted “I am so sorry” on twitter
yesterday and further posted “it may be
worse than you think, it may take much
longer than you expect’.
There is nothing else from him. So fans of Nairaland will have to waite for a while.

Nairaland is back online, it is trying to recover from an attack from hackers and this had led to the loss of some of her data. However a lot of Nigerians are relieved that it is back online.
