Hello, it depends on the requirement of the particular university you applied to, however most university accept 200 JAMB score to enable you sit for the post-UTM. After which your JAMB and Post-UTM score are combined together, in order to determine your final score for admission.

Hello Ahmad, you will need to have 5 credit in your O level exams (WAEC or NECO), the subject required are Mathematics, English, Biology, chemistry and Physics. Then sit for the JAMB exams, you should be able to score 200 and above to qualify for the post UTME. Once you are able to score high, let say 200 and above in the UTME exams, you are sure of obtaining an admission into the University of Maiduguri. However this cutoff marks differ from year to year.
More so, the University also give opportunity for students to come in through the remedial (Pre-degree) program done in the school, which is an easy way to get in but you will still need a JAMB score above 160 to get the remedial (Pre-degree) admission, after 1 year of completing the program, if you are successful you could be given admission into your desired course.

UNIMAID always take part in the POST-UTME, it was done last year. However due to the current security situation in Maiduguri, am not sure if the POST-UTME will take place this year.

NABTEB result, which is O level is recognized by Nigerian Universities. If you are able to have 5 credit in your NABTEB exam in the required o level subjects for Radiography (English, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics), then you are eligible to apply for the course through JAMB or pre- sciences programs in the university.

Well if the cut off mark is 180, then your score is above it, so that should qualify you to take part in the post-UTME

Hello Ibrahim, welcome to alstudent forum. About your first question, am yet to get update for the 2016 Post UTME for UNIMAID, as soon as they are available, I will post it in here.
Wt ix the difference  between RADIOLOGY AND  RADIOGRAPHY?................ ALSO IF U FINISH BSC RAD IN UNIMAID..... R u  a radiologist or radiographer

A Radiology was derived from Radiography. Radiography deals with X-Ray, Ultrasound, Computer Tomography (CT), Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), Mammography and also some aspect of Radiotherapy and Nuclear medicine. A graduate from the radiography department is called a Radiographer and he works in the Radiography department or Radiology department in a hospital. They use all the above mentioned modalities to produce images of the human body before doctors can treat or operate. While Radiologist are person who are trained as a medical doctor but chooses to specialize in Radiology to work hand in hand with the Radiographer. They are responsible for the writing/interpretation of the images produced by the radiographer. Although as a Radiographer you can  write your report/interprete your images also because Radiographers are being trained to do that and even more especially in the absense or lack of a Radiologist in the hospital..

Yes its possible for a radiographer to become a rediologist. All it requires is for you to finish your 5 years radiography BSc. program, then apply for a direct entry to medicine in any university. Which will enable u to start at 200 level, once you graduate at the end of 4years, you will then go in for a 1year compulsory house job in the hospital. After which you can then apply for your residency in a Radiology department. Once you are accepted and you start, you have become a radiologist.

No you can't be a Radiologist. But as a Radiographer with a BSc. And Masters, you can be come a specialist in any of the areas of Radiography, you will be able to do both the work of a Radiologist and a Radiographer, such as image reporting in CT, MRI, Mammo, and others. I have collegues who are Radiogrphers and they specialize in Brain CT image reporting, MSK reporting, and even image reporting in MRI. Going over to the UK for your masters will give you access to specialize in any area of your choice. All this make you equivalent to a Radiologist and even better professionally since you can produce the images and at thesame time report/interpret them. As a radiographer, you are highly sort after in terms of job opportunities.

well with 219 you have met with the departmental cut off mark, you will need to score as high as 200+ or 65 -70% in the post UTME to stand a better chance of securing admission into UNIMAID
